Nourishing Your 1YearOlds Stomach and Spleen A Traditional Chinese Soup Recipe for Babys Health
Introducing a traditional Chinese soup recipe that is specifically designed to nourish the stomach and spleen of a 1-year-old baby. This soup, known as Yangwei Shiyang Soup, has been used for generations to promote healthy digestion and overall well-being in young children. With its combination of natural, nutritious ingredients, this soup is a delightful and beneficial way to support your little one's growing body.
Understanding the Importance of Stomach and Spleen Nourishment
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the stomach and spleen are considered to be the foundation of a child's health. The stomach is responsible for digesting food, while the spleen plays a crucial role in the absorption of nutrients. When these organs are functioning properly, the child is more likely to have a strong immune system, better growth, and overall health.
However, it's not uncommon for 1-year-old babies to experience issues such as indigestion, constipation, or poor appetite. These problems can be addressed by nourishing the stomach and spleen with the right kind of food. The following soup recipe aims to achieve just that.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb pork rib or beef brisket, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 lb chicken feet, cleaned and halved
- 1/2 lb lotus root, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1/2 lb carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1/2 lb radish, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1/4 lb bamboo shoots, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1/4 lb dried winter melon, rehydrated and sliced
- 1/4 lb ginseng, thinly sliced

- 2 pieces of Chinese yam, peeled and cut into chunks
- 2 pieces of jujube, halved
